FAQs

Q. What is viscose?
A. The viscose is a virtually chemical free non woven fabric.

Viscose is neither cotton nor paper.

However viscose is much lighter than cotton and is much more stronger than paper.

Q. How much does it cost to get my logo digitized?
A. There is a set-up fee of $150 to have your logo digitized. The cost of having your logo embroidered onto your jacket, beanie or apron is based on the number of stitches in your logo and the quantity of items you are having embroidered. If you are able to email us a DST file of your logo, we will not charge you for the set-up; only the embroidery of your logo.

Q. What do I need to provide to get my logo digitized?
A. A copy of your artwork in a jpeg file will be required. It can be emailed at embroidery@chefs-hat.com. We will match PMS colors as close as possible unless you are able to provide us with the pantone codes.

Q. How long does it take to get my logo digitized?
A. As soon as we receive your approval on the artwork, it will take about 5 to 6 business days.

Q. How do I wash my garment?
A. A 'washing instructions' tag is enclosed with all our jackets. However we suggest that you use OXY-CLEAN or Liquid Tide. Let your garment soak for 15-20 minutes in the washing machine then start the washing cycle. Do not use HOT WATER as it will burn the fibers and it'll become virtually impossible to remove stains. The drying cycle should be set at MEDIUM and should not exceed 15 minutes in most cases. Egyptian cotton garments should not be washed at home but should be dry-cleaned. However it happened that some of our customers took upon themselves to wash in-house without any problems. We do recommend 'warm' or 'cold' water. Bleach should not be used as it will again burn the fibers and give it a yellowish appearance.
